Dead livestock entering the market has become one of the most important risks of food safety of consumers. At present, the dairy cattle insurance policy of premium subsidied by our government requires farmers' proof of hazard-free disposal of died cattle, otherwise the insurance institution shall not compensate. Therefore,if the dairy cattle insurance policy is strictly implemented, the probability of died cattle entering the market will be greatly reduced. However, after the investigation,it is found that not all died cattle compensated have been harmlessly treated. To investigate the effect of linking dairy cattle insurance policy and hazard-free disposal, the thesis starts from the source of infected cattle into the market and the farmers responsible for hazard-free disposal, and investigates whether the dairy cattle insurance of farmers has affected the hazard-free disposal of died cattle based on cross analysis and theoretical analysis and Probit model. The result shows that the purchase of dairy cattle insurance has a positive effect on hazard-free disposal of died cattle. In addition, such varibles as years of breeding and the death rate of cows and risk prevention measures also greatly affect hazard-free disposal of died cattle.According to the analysis above and investigation,it is suggested that farmers should reinforce risk prevention measures, insurance company should expand insurance coverage, and government should promote large-scale breeding and so on.
