Research On The Reform Of The Electricity Market In Turkey

Since the establishment of the market economy,the reform of the power system has been continue sly developing.The power enterprises are the economic basis of a country and its people.It is one of the key factors in whether the national economy can maintain steady growth.In the eighties and nineties of the 20 th century,many developed countries have already begun to reform the power system.With a increasingly perfect economic construction in Turkey,the system has gradually matured,electricity market reform is also evolving.There is significant increase in power development activities,resource allocation is been optimized.With the power reform deepening,the price liberalization,market competition intensified,many problems began to gradually exposed,such as: power generation supply shortage,lack-off transmission capacity,transmission and distribution price is unreasonable,and the regulatory system is not modified and so on.This research hopes that through the study of the reform of electric power market in advanced countries and the analysis of Turkey’s problems in the process of reform,to put forward some suggestions and measures to the reform of Turkey’s electric power market and help the Turkish power reform to develop in accordance with healthy track.
