An Empirical Study Of Technological Innovation,Openness And Upgrading Of The Second Industry

Since the reform and opening up more than 30 years ago,the total economic output of Guangdong has been increasing,and the three industrial structure of the national economy has also changed greatly.In the background of the global economic downturn,and the fierce competition of various countries on the international market,more and more countries desire to upgrade their industrial structure to overcome the crisis,an important means to enhance their competitiveness in the world.In this paper,based on analysis of panel data of the second industry upgrading of the Pearl River,the empirical results show that the upgrade of the second industry of Guangdong Province is depend on the key factors such as technology innovation,human capital investment,the financial input of the government and infrastructure investment.While the foreign investment is not the main factor that affects the upgrade of the second industry in Guangdong province,but it still plays a very important role.The upgrade of the second industry in the Pearl River can't be separated from the infrastructure improvement.But it is necessary to prevent the appearance of repeat construction and the excessive competition to avoid the “Crowding Out Effect”.
