Research On Non-optimal Development Of Coastal Tourism Destination

Coastal tourism is an essential part of tourism in our country.Under the background of the sustainable development of economy and the optimization and adjustment of industrial structure,coastal tourism has gradually become a major tourist spot,which owns a huge potential for further development and the broad market prospect.However,some problems have appeared during the development of coastal tourism.Specifically,the coastal tourist optimal areas have been well developed.The rapid increasing proportion of tourism industry in GDP rising have played a great role in promoting the development of local economy.On the contrary,the non-optimal area of coastal tourism development is relatively slow.There are several disadvantages including the poor tourism resources,inconvenient traffic location,weak economic base,small tourist market,poor cognition and bad ecological environment in non-optimal areas,which all could affect the development of local tourism and lead to poor growth of economy.This paper is based on reviewing the relevant literatures and theories,and citing the existing research results.By analyzing the concept of coastal tourism and coastal tourism non-optimal area,as well as Shandong coastal tourism development status,the evaluation system of Shandong coastal tourism city was constructed.Taking Weifang coastal area as an example of case studies,this paper analyses the feasibility of tourism development in coastal areas,putting forward the strategy of tourism development in Shandong Province,which supplying the reference for other coastal tourism non-optimal area for the development.The main chapters of this thesis are as follows:(1)Illustration of the background,significance and research status with related concepts and basic theory.This paper aims to define the non-optimal tourism standards,including six factors as below,non-optimal tourism resources,non-optimal tourism economy,non-optimal traffic location,non-optimal tourism market,non-optimal tourism cognition and non-optimal tourism ecological environment.The author summarizes the concept of non-optimal coastal tourism.(2)Determination and evaluation of coastal tourism non-optimal areas in Shandong province.Based on the present situation of Shandong coastal tourism,the paper analyzes further development using method of AHP.Taking six non-optimal elements of the coastal tourism non-optimal area as the division basis,coastal tourism non-optimal area evaluation system of Shandong province has been constructed.The Weifang city as a non-optimal area of coastal tourism is determined.(3)Summary of the coastal areas of non-optimal tourism conditions.On the basis of the analyzing Weifang city and Binhai area tourism development status,the characteristics of tourism development about Binhai area have been summarized.The author studies the coastal tourism non-optimal conditions of Binhai area.(4)Research on the coastal areas of Weifang city.In the empirical analysis based on the feasibility of tourism development in Weifang coastal area,the tourism development path is made.The paper puts forward the tourism development strategy of Weifang coastal area which as a tourism non-optimal area and provide the reference for the next step of development for other coastal areas.
