Credit card, as a modern and electronic financial instrument to facilitate consumer finance, comes to wide use in China with the advance of economic growth and marketization. It grows rapidly as Chinese banks take it as an imperative business to promote. It has been 12 years since Bank of Ningxia started to issue credit cards from 2004. However,credit card business of Bank of Ningxia does not develop fast enough with little attention of management, distinct market positioning, technology disadvantages as well as lack of skilled employers and etc.This article applies marketing theories to analyze the credit card marketing from the perceptive of macro and micro to identify the major problems in marketing based on empirical data and practical experience, and then proposes applicable improvements to provide a reference to Bank of Ningxia and other city commercial banks regarding credit card promotion.
