With the rapid development of rural economy and society,there has been a large amount of surplus straw.The disorderly straw burning and throwing are common occurrences resulting in increasing ecological and environmental problems in rural areas.Straw is part of the crop photosynthesis product,belongs to the category of biomass.Along with the growing fossil fuels shortage,air pollution caused by straw burning and awareness of the people’s concept,crop straw is more and more likely to be an important potential renewable resource.However,since the straw harvest is time-sensitive and decentralized while the straw resource is with large amount and low density,the logistics operations of collecting,storing and transport in its commercialization process are both difficult and costly which severely restricted the scale utilization of straw.Therefore,a research on crop stalks logistics system to the yardstick of township(town)is helpful to overcome the straw storage and transport bottleneck,reduce logistic system cost,achieve straw scale utilization,abate the rural environmental pollution,improve straw integrated technology and promote the industrialization of straw utilization.Logistics system is the combination of human,property and objects related to logistics functions.It consists of four elements which are logistics facilities,human resources,logistics equipment and information systems.The validity and rationality of each element in the system directly affects its functions.Thus,based on the content of the four elements,this paper deeply studied township(town)straw logistics system.Firstly,this paper comprehensively described logistics system,facilities planning and GIS,GIS spatial analysis,theory and methods of ArcGIS platform.Then it focused on the powerful features of GIS-related content in siting and facility planning.These provided theoretical support for the following study.Then it included the research of facility location and planning of crop straw logistics system based on the method of GIS spatial analysis and verified the feasibility and validation of this method by the case of Chemen town.In this instance,using the spatial analysis function of ArcGIS platform,it initialized 5 straw logistics facility locations by processing field survey data,MODIS EVI data,world map remote sensing data and the basic data obtained by discriminant analysis which is necessary for the following GIS spatial analytics.After that,it refined the locations considering NIMBY principle and qualitative factors,and did the layout design and functional positioning reasonably.This provided rational suggestions for Chemen town crop straw logistics system construction,and referred to a reference for the siting of crop straw logistics facilities of other areas.Besides,based on the intrinsic properties of straw and architectural policies,the paper included the design for facilities inside the straw logistics system.It involved four aspects:layout design,architectural design,public engineering design and information and communication design.It elaborated the facilities,relevant parameters and management methods of the four aspects,aiming at improving the standardization of straw logistics construction and operations,reducing logistics costs and security risks.Finally,it also included an exploratory analysis of the human resources,logistics facilities,and information system texts of straw logistics system.Meanwhile,it referred to suggestions combined the analysis with the current logistics system participants,the level of mechanization of logistics operations,and the network information model of straw.
