In recent years,the research subject of employee engagement has been attached more and more importance in the field of human resource management.With competition between enterprises intensifying,research value of this subject has received increasingly high attention from entrepreneurs.Many enterprises have realized that competent personnel,as the core competition force of enterprises,play a critical and decisive role in the long-term and sound development of the enterprises.Only when all employees completely devote themselves to their work,exerting the strength of each individual and the whole team to the full extent,can the enterprise fulfill maximum functions of its human resource and consequently enhance the enterprise's performance substantially.The thesis has employed research methods such as literature research,statistic analysis of data and survey research.By reading journals,literature and related works,the author has grasped the knowledge of theories proposed in China and abroad concerning employee engagement and methods of improving the engagement.Combining this knowledge with scientific investigation report and first-hand statistics of Insurance Company Y,the thesis truly reflects the present situation of employee engagement in Insurance Company Y and the feasibility of an improvement plan.On the basis of the literature review,according to Gallup company's survey of the employee engagement in Insurance Company Y,the thesis explains and analyzes the reasons why the score of employee engagement is low in Insurance Company Y.The discussion is furthered from three aspects:personnel management,resource and procedure,and organizational structure.Combined with related theories concerning influential factors of employee engagement,focusing on issues of these three aspects,the thesis produces a specific proposal to improve employee engagement,that is,the sector of the personnel management should emphasize the enhancement of leadership,performance,recognition,the cultivation and development of competent employees;the sector of resource and procedure should pay attention to reasonable allocation of resources and process reengineering;the sector of organizational structure should revise the unreasonable structure and solve problems caused by transformation.The thesis provides a referential theoretical framework for enhancing employee engagement in insurance companies in China.Meanwhile,the proposal and methods provided in the thesis have positive referential significance for other enterprises similar to insurance companies.
