With the rise of Web 2.0, enterprise social network is a whole new social tool for promotion,communication and sharing information. However, as time goes by, employees' participation and contribution are decreasing so that enterprise social network loses the functions of propaganda,communication and sharing. So, how to maintain employees' enthusiasm, participation and contribution is crucial for enterprise social network. In order to solve. the problem, many enterprises have adopted different types of incentive mechanisms to encouraging employees to exert their energies to enterprise social network, but incentive effects are different entirely. How to design incentive mechanism to create value for companies is worthwhile to be studied.In that case, this paper empirically examines how employees respond to two different incentive mechanisms within an ESN and how enterprise social network creates values for companies based on a dataset of the internal blog platform of a Telecommunications Company. We found that employees respond positively to group incentive mechanisms within a state-owned company that focuses on a sense of collectivism. Conversely, individual incentive mechanism has negative effects on employees' behaviors because they are afraid to harm the social relationships with other employees. We also find that employee demographic characteristics such as the type of contract and education affect employee feedback on incentive mechanisms. Employees build friendly social relationship through interacting with others and contributing wisdom frequently, more rely on their organization, and then less willing to leave it.Our findings have two outstanding contributions. On one hand, in terms of theory innovation,our finding put forward to effect mechanism of employee's turnover. On the other hand, in terms of company, managers can make full use of enterprise social network to strength employee's commitment and decrease the possibility of employee's turnover, and then create values for companies.
