Along with the high-speed development of social various aspects more and more big, the influence of the public of its development is becoming more and more attention. As the development of high-speed rail in China is relatively short, the public began to know the thing only ten years time. Really attracted a lot of attention is the Yong-Wen high-speed rail accident at 2011 · 7 · 23, and you can see that the public as a new technology of high-speed cognitive is not very clear, and the media on the high-speed rail news reports are not in place. News communication as an important channel for public information reception has an important impact on the public awareness of new technologies and new things. There is a close relationship between the public's awareness and attitudes towards high-speed rail and the media's spread of high-iron-related information.In this study. first use the questionnaire survey to understand the current public awareness of high-speed rail,and then to news communication on public awareness has a certain impact as the starting point, from the framework of theoretical point of view, combined with the agenda set theory from Tencent, NetEase, Sina, Sohu four portal site sampling to the 514 high-iron-related news reports for content analysis and text analysis, trying to clarify the media on high-speed rail related reports on the status and characteristics. And then compare the results of the questionnaire and the results of the content analysis, get the shortcomings of media reports, and provide some strategic suggestions for the media on high-iron related news reports.The study found that the public awareness of high-speed rail, especially the basic knowledge of high-speed rail, high-speed rail "going out" challenges and other aspects of the understanding is very simple, but the high-speed rail and high-speed rail evaluation has a better understanding, just with the media on high-speed rail The situation is consistent, it can be concluded that the media coverage does have a certain impact on public awareness of high-speed rail. For the media to better disseminate information on high-speed rail to raise public awareness, I think that the media should be reported from the subject, the type of coverage, coverage and professional aspects of four related news reports in the future to further improve.
