Study On Sustainable Development Of Zhuhai Wailingding Island Tourism

In recent years,the steady and rapid development of China's tourism industry has made it become an important industry to promote the economic growth of our country. Island tourism is also becoming increasingly popular. China has favorable natural conditions for developing island tourism, which was started late, but developed rapidly. After decades of development, it has made significant achievements, and with them came many problems.How to deal with the contradiction between tourism development and resource protection and how to promote the scientific and sustainable development of island tourism have both become difficult problems for local governments. Selecting Wai Lingding Island of Zhuhai City as the research object, this paper aims to raise people's understanding of scientific development and resource protection, to further improve the management mechanism of tourism development, and to provide a frame of reference and practical operating instructions for the future development of the Island and islands of the same kind by studying the sustainable development of tourism in Zhuhai's Wai Lingding Island.This paper first explains the research background, the significance and the research results at home and abroad, and puts forward the research ideas and research methods. Then it explains relevant concepts, and expounds theoretical basis of the research. The core part of this article is divided into three parts: The first part summarizes the main pattern. the characteristics and the law of island tourism and its related experience. The second part, by combining with practice, analyzes the problems existing in the development of sustainable tourism, including insufficient development degree,low level of industry, traffic inconvenience and policy restrictions. What's more, a systematic development planning and pattern has not been formed yet. The third part puts forward pattern options and concrete measures and suggestions for Wai Lingding Island to achieve its sustainable tourism development: ecology first,overall planning of land and islands, intensive use,villagers"participation, priority of transportation, creating high-end products, playing effective role by government and industrial management and so on. On island tourism development pattern, it is suggested that the advantages of the four patterns should be integrated and priority should be given to the resource-based model. Administrators should give full play to the advantages of location and natural resources and output some tourism products so as to explore a suitable path for the development of Wai Lingding Island and Wanshan Islands, meanwhile,to help the Island develop into a characteristic ecological and humanistic leisure and entertainment island in the Pearl River Delta. In this way. a nationally-famous tourist destination for island tourism will be built and sustainable tourism development can be achieved.
