The Study About The Effect Of TPP On Foreign Trade Of China

TPP has evolved into a world’s largest free trade agreement with 12 member states(including the United States),40% of the world economy and 26% of the world’s total trade.If TPP is to be implemented successfully,the trade creation effect between TPP member countries and the trade transfer effect of countries within and outside the member countries will inevitably affect the trade between China and TPP member countries.Therefore,the analysis of trade combination and trade dependence of China and between China and TPP member countries,and then the study about the trade between them,these are of great importance for analyzing the effect of TPP on China’s economic and trade.However,recently the US new President Trump has announced the withdrawal of TPP agreement,and this increased the uncertainty of TPP in the future.In the face of this complex development situation of TPP,It is necessary to predict the future development direction of TPP,to pay attention to its development and to study its impact on China’s economy and trade,and to formulate countermeasures and suggestions which are in line with China’s current development and safeguarding China’s relevant economic interests.This paper has six parts.First,it introduces the background and significance of the topic,research methods and ideas.Second,it briefly introduces TPP from the origin and development of TPP,content,basic characteristics,and the relationships between the international economic organizations.Third,it analyzes the effect on the trade and investment in theory.Forth,it analyzes the trade relations between China and TPP member countries from the perspective of trade dependence and trade integration index,combined with trade creation effect and trade transfer effect.Fifth,the future development of TPP is forecasted and the possibility of development in each direction is analyzed.Then,the influence of TPP on China is analyzed and the corresponding countermeasures are put forward.At last,it is a conclusion.In order to make the analysis more accurate,this paper not only calculates the trade combination index of China to TPP member countries,but also calculates the this of TPP member countries to China;not only calculates the trade dependence index of China and TPP member countries,but also calculates the trade dependence of China to TPP member countries.In addition,in the face of the current complex development of TPP,the different scenarios have analyzed the impact of TPP on China,and thus put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
