Empirical Study On The Agglomeration Economy Effect And The Macro Location Effect Of China's County-level Cities

At the same time of the rapid development in China's country-level cities,the development gap of county of mid-west undeveloped provinces and eastern coastal developed provinces is widening,the gap of economic development of China's county-level cities restrict the China's urbanization in the forward.In the rapid development of China's urbanization and the city is in the process of system innovation,it is necessary to scientifically rigorous economic analysis was to carried out on the county-level cities,with a mature economy theory to explore the development of China's county-level city rule and explain the real reason of difference China's economic development at county level.Under this background,based on the agglomeration economy and “center-periphery” model as the theoretical basis,from two aspects of agglomeration economy effect and macro location effect,focus on the aggregation of all the resources and the distance to the core cities in China for the influence of the county economic growth,and put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions according to the analysis results.First of all,a brief introduction to the gathering economic theory,location effect theory and the econometric model and methods applied to the empirical part of the paper.At the same time make a statistical description of the development of China's county-level city from the aspect of the number and distribution of the county-level cities,economic level,population size and density on the current situation,and make comparative analysis of the spatial distribution difference of the 100 top county-level cities in China.Secondly,improve the traditional Cobb-Douglas production function,bring the explanatory variables which will affect China's county-level city economic growth and reflection of the gathered economic indicators into the model.Discusses the influence of the various resources gathered to the county economic growth in China.In addition,introduce the cross terms of multiplication of the geographic location and the aggregation index to the model,comparing the same resources in the great geographical location of different aggregation effect produced by the economy,in order to obtain the empirical results of cluster effect of the county-level cities in China.Thirdly,based on the established model,introduce the China's county-level cities' geography location variables,study the macro regional effect of the county-level cities under the urban system in China,focus to discuss the effect of its own economic development level related to the straight linear distance from the county-level city to the nearest big city,to the nearest provincial capital city and to the nearest important port city.Finally,based on the analysis of the above panel regression results,the problems of the development of county-level cities in China are discussed,and the countermeasures and suggestions for the development strategy and planning of county-level cities in China are put forward.
