Location And County Economic Growth Analysis Based On County-level Panel Data Of Jiangsu Province From 2006 To 2014

County economy is the basic unit of the national economy,both from the population and size of the area included in the national economy or from the proportion accounted for.The county economy is an important part of national economy and is an important part of system operation.The county's economic development has important practical significance.The rapid development of county economy can promote the overall development of the national economy,help implementing the accurate poverty alleviation,speed up the process of urbanization,promote economic development in rural and poor areas,help ease gap between urban and rural.Location factors include regional traffic conditions,location,weather conditions and others.From previous studies,the location factors for agricultural,industrial and urban development have a certain influence,such as agricultural location theory,industry theory and other theories.Many scholars have studied and discussed the theory separately from the county's economic development and regional factors.On the one hand,from the perspective of economic development in the county,many scholars have studied the factors affecting the development of county economy development,including differences in economic construction investment,the difference between the traffic situations and so on.On the other hand,starting from the point of view of location,some scholars have studied the influence of location factors for a regional agricultural,industrial,industrial and economic structures,and many other foreign investment.Although numerous studies have location factors from two angles and the county's economic development were analyzed,there is no literature exhaustively investigate the effects of regional factors on the county's economic growth.Macroeconomic theory think that the impact of a region's economic growth factors mainly include labor,investment and technological progress.The location factor is not a direct factor affecting the region's economic growth.But the impact of location factors on a region's economic growth is multifaceted.The impact of location factors on economic growth is mainly through the way of influencing investment,labor and technological progress.Areas with regional advantages can attract more labor and foreign investment,undertake more technology and industry transfer,so as to promote the region's economic growth.On the contrary,the location of the disadvantaged areas,the labor force is generally out of the region,the technical level of development lag,cannot attract the developed areas of industrial transfer and technology transfer.This is a disadvantageous factor for long-term economic growth in disadvantaged areas.The focus of this paper is mainly reflected in the following two aspects.First,from the theoretical and empirical point of view whether the regional factors affect the long-term growth of the county economy a factor.Second,the study of location factors affect the main way of county economic growth.This paper first introduces the background and significance of the article,research ideas and methods,research framework and research innovation and shortcomings.Then we introduce the literature review of the regional and county economic growth at home and abroad.The third chapter analyzes the influence of location factors on county economic growth from the theoretical point of view.It mainly analyzes the theories of economic growth and the related theories of investment,and analyzes the concrete manifestation of the regional economic growth from the perspective of investment.The fourth chapter takes Jiangsu Province as an example to analyze the development of county economy in Jiangsu Province,mainly from the three aspects of the scale,level comparison and problem performance of county economic development.The fifth chapter is the core of this article,from the empirical point of view to analyze the issues to be studied.The empirical analysis is based on the two measures of location,which uses the panel data of 44 counties in Jiangsu Province from 2006 to 2014,and establishes the static and dynamic regression analysis model.For the dynamic model,this paper adopts the method of GMM and differential GMM The model parameters were estimated.Chapter 5 of this paper is the conclusions and recommendations.Through theoretical and empirical analysis,the location factor is not a direct factor affecting the economic growth.But the location factors can have an impact on the long-term growth of the county economy,and this effect tends to be negative.That is,with the location of the disadvantaged areas are often on the county's economic growth is detrimental,the opposite location advantage of the region can promote economic growth in the region.At the same time,the study also shows that the factors that affect the growth of county economy are mainly through the impact of investment and other means.Based on the conclusion of empirical analysis,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the existing problems in the development of county economy.
