With the prosperity of entrepreneurial economy and the development of globalization,more and more enterprises,which are known as international new ventures(INVs),have been founded based on the global market.Embedding global value chain(GVC)is the main way for developing countries to accomplish international transformation,and it's more common for INVs.Chip industry,being as one of China's strategic emerging industries in recent years,has a large number of INVs with outstanding performance in global market.However,with the deepening of international entrepreneurship,the INVs have various of characters when they embed in GVC.Therefore,this thesis summarizes the organizational learning model and embedding path of INVs in China,and proposes some suggestions to improve the GVC position of China's chip enterprises.Firstly,the thesis reviews the relevant literature of international entrepreneurship and GVC embeddedness,then discusses the theory of organizational learning and value chain,and points out that there is a correlation between the organizational learning of INVs and GVC.Secondly,the thesis introduces three kinds of organizational learning modes of INVs,and analyzes the influential mechanism of organizational learning and GVC embeddedness.Thirdly,the thesis introduces the GVC composition of chip industry,and chooses three enterprises to explore their embedding paths in GVC,including SMIC,Spreadtrum communications and Fujitsu microelectronics.Finally,the thesis summarizes three kinds of embedding paths,illustrates that different organizational learning modes will influence the embedding paths,and gives some suggestions correspondingly.The conclusions are as follows,firstly,the key organizational learning elements of INVs include six parts: forward feedback of entrepreneurs,unexpected key events,information collection and acquisition,testing,knowledge storage and application,continuous improvement.According to the six elements,the organizational learning model of INVs can be divided into information exploration learning,technology exploration learning and exploitation learning.Secondly,the GVC embedding paths of INVs can be divided into three types,including horizontal embedding path,upstream embedding path and vertical embedding path.Thirdly,there is corresponding relationship between the organizational learning mode selection and GVC embedding path.More specifically,enterprises that choose information exploration mostly prefer seeking cooperation whenembedding GVC,technology exploration firms will pay more attention to research,and the majority of exploitation enterprises will embed GVC step by step.INVs can choose their own learning mode and embedding path according to the six elements.There are three innovations in this thesis.At first,the thesis recognizes the six elements of organizational learning,and classifies the organizational learning mode of INVs into three categories.Then,it takes chip industry as an example to discuss the embedding paths of INVs.Last but not least,the thesis also provides some suggestions from the perspective of the preparation before embeddedness and the improvement after embeddedness separately.
