Study On Business Model Innovation Of Venture Workshop

In order to promote the economy structure adjustment and the economic growth mode, the Chinese government is making a nationwide call for entrepreneurship and innovation. This call greatly encouraged the activities of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. High-tech business incubator is the most important carrier to innovative entrepreneurship. According to the Ministry of Science and Technology statistics, there are 1748 all kinds of high-tech business incubators across the country until the end of 2014, which contains more than 600 national high-tech business incubators. Meanwhile, as the supply-side reform becoming the principal line of the transformation and upgrading of Chinese economy, high-tech business incubators also undertake tasks such as reducing excess production capacity and reducing the cost of innovative entrepreneurship. However, the flourishing trend cannot cover up the problems of the development of technology business incubators. Especially the problem is that private technology business incubator has not yet formed the ability for sustainable development. However, the sustainable development of the private technology business incubator is the key factor to determine whether the incubator can survive or not. Business model theory can better explain a private technology business incubator's business logic of sustainable development and also describes a private technology business incubator can provide the start-ups with value propositions and the network of key partnerships and the key resources to achieve this value propositions and gain sustainable profit. Private technology business incubator should choose the business model that matching between the various elements for itself sustainable development.This paper reviews literatures about high-tech business incubators and business model innovation. Then base on the introduction of the case of Venture workshop the paper uses the tool of business model canvas to recognize the problems in the Venture workshop's business model and analyze the root cause of these problems. By repositioning customer segments from one-side market to two-sides market, Venture workshop will build the new two-side platform business model. Finally safeguard measures are also designed to guarantee the innovation of Venture workshop's business model of running smoothly.In this paper, the writer hope to provide great practical guiding significance for the development of the research object, and the meaningful reference for other private technology business incubators.
