Cross-functional team creativity plays a more and more important role in product creation and technological innovation.How to improve cross-functional team creativity is becoming the core task for enterprise development gradually.At present,all the researches on improving cross-functional team creativity start from internal perspective of the team and they can be divided into two kinds of improving heterogeneity of internal members of cross-functional team and improving cooperative relationship among internal members of cross-functional team;it lacks researches under the external perspective of the team.Analyzed from external perspective of team,due to the daily contact and communication,cross-functional team has formed social network with existing single functional team(department)within the enterprise together.It has been embedded into social network as network member and its creation process depends on social network to some extent,while the degree of depending on social network,which is network embeddedness,may affect cross-functional team creativity.In addition,the relationship between network embeddedness and cross-functional team creativity is affected by other factors to a great extent.According to the resource theory,the dependence of cross-functional team on social network is the dependence on knowledge in social network.The influence of cross-functional team on its team creativity through network embeddedness may be realized by the mediating effect of knowledge sharing behavior in cross-functional team.Therefore,this paper introduces knowledge sharing behavior as mediating variable,constructs relational model among network embeddedness,knowledge sharing behavior and cross-functional team creativity and studies the influence of network embeddedness on cross-functional team creativity under meditating function.First,previous researches on relationship among network embeddedness,knowledge sharing behavior and cross-functional team creativity have been summarized through studying literature;second,visit Xi'an Huawei Technology Co.,Ltd and Shanxi Sanyang Technology Co.,Ltd etc and consult comments and suggestions for relationship between variable metric and variables;last,combine literature and field investigation,confirm dimensions among network embeddedness,knowledge sharing behavior and cross-functional team creativity,construct relational model among these three and verify the mediating role of knowledge sharing behavior between network embededness and cross-functional team creativity.Six research assumptions have been proposed based on relational model,scale has been designed,research data has been attained through investigating 307 effective questionnaires made in Shaanxi IT enterprises cross-functional team and then verify research assumptions with adoption of SPSS20.0 to make descriptive statistics analysis,reliability and validity analysis,difference analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis for survey data.Research results have shown that the improvement of network embeddedness(structural embeddedness,relational embeddedness)can improve cross-functional team creativity effectively.Knowledge sharing behavior(knowledge contribution,knowledge collection)plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between structural embeddedness and cross-functional team creativity;it plays a complete mediating role in the relationship between relational embeddedness and cross-functional team creativity.The research conclusions provide constructive comments and suggestions for improving cross-functional team creativity under network embeddedness.
