Research On The Relationship Of China Petroleum Industry Investment,the Carbon Emissions And The Economic Growth

In recent years,China's petroleum industry develops continuously and gets in line with international standards gradually.With the accelerating pace of the industry,investment in this fields also witnesses steady growth.Petroleum industry being an enormous carbon emission unit,the high-speed growth of its investment should take responsibilities for its high energy consumption and high pollution.Therefore,how to coordinate the relationship between industrial investment,carbon emissions and the economic growth becomes a problem that calls for solutions urgently.First of all,the essay analyzes the current situation of petroleum industrial investment,carbon emissions and economic growth respectively using qualitative analysis method.And by pairwise analyses we found that there were mutual influence relations between any two of petroleum industrial investment,carbon emissions and economic growth.According to the qualitative analyses we establish a threesome circular model of petroleum industrial investment-carbon emissions-economic growth.Followed by the panel vector regression and varying coefficient quantitative analyses,we find that while decreasing the unit GDP carbon emissions has positive effects on investment of China's oil industry,petroleum industrial investment growth may promote economic growth,and economic growth will reduce carbon emissions.Furthermore,regional differences exist in the impacts carbon emissions have on the investment of petroleum industry.By combining the conclusions of both qualitative and quantitative analysis,from the perspective of the relationships of the three variables,we propose advice and countermeasures from the aspects of the policy,relevant government departments and the concept of energy-saving emission reduction in order to achieve an coordinated development of China's petroleum industrial investment,carbon emissions reduction of petroleum industry and China's economic.
