With the rapid development of economy,complicated environment and increasingly fierce competition.Human resource is becoming the top important resource of companies,which it so important for us to understand and solve the employees' career plateau.Career plateau is a ?static? stage on the career development where work content,responsibility,challenge and job pressure is relatively static and terminated in individual vocational development.Many researches have proved that career plateau has a series of negative effects on the development on both employees and organization.But the existing researches do few on studying the mechanism of action how career plateau is affected.Furthermore,most career plateau influential factor analysis,especially individual factor analysis,remains on the stage of qualitative research.Quantitative research is much more less.Having a good understanding of influential factor and mechanism of action of career plateau is so important if we want solve career plateau phenomenon.However,in different human resource management practice,employees' proactive personality and career adaptability may have different effect on the career plateau.As a result,this study,based on career construction theory,propose a mediator theory model in which proactive personality effect on career plateau is mediated.We are trying to use this model to find out the influence that proactive personality and career adaptability have on career plateau,to discuss the mediating role that career adaptability plays between proactive personality and career plateau.Also the moderating effect that human resource management practice has is also included.People who have a job and still do the job has been choose as the research object in this study.We used Questionnaire to collect the data and have got 322 valid sample eventually.Then SPSS 22.0 and AMOS17.0 has been used to do descriptive statistics,correlation analysis,reliability analysis,validity test,regression analysis for data analysis.The result are as following:1.Employee's proactive personality has a significant negative impact on the career plateau.Among them,the employee's proactive personality has a significant negative impact on the content plateau,and the employee's proactive personality also has significant negative influence on the hierarchical plateau.2.Career adaptability has a significant negative impact on the career plateau.Among them,the career adaptability also have a significant negative impact on the career plateau of the two sub-dimension content plateau and hierarchical plateau.3.Employee's proactive personality has a significant positive impact on career adaptability.4.Career adaptability mediate the relationship between proactive personality and career plateau.The career adaptability is a partial mediator in the relationship between proactive personality and content plateau;Career adaptability don't mediate between proactive personality and hierarchical plateau.5.Human resource management practice play a moderating role in the relationship between career adaptability and career plateau.The human resource management practice moderates the relationship between career adaptability and hierarchical plateau.Human resource management practice has no moderating effect between Career adaptability and hierarchical plateau.
