With the development of economic globalization and informatization,production factors acquire effective free flow and optimized configuration worldwide.In this new situation,job-hopping happens frequently on domestic employees and resulting on large mobility of talents.Studies indicated that staffs increasingly focus on self-long-term career development and viewed it as an essential consideration factor of occupational mobility(Bei HU etc.,2008),Therefore,the importance of professional growth to employees has become increasingly prominent.What are the factors related to career growth? Studies find that there is a relationship between career development and the personality of staffs.Personality traits will make effect on career development of staffs via influencing social intercourse and the extent of input to their work(Qingxiong WEI?Youmin Xi,2012.Furthermore,fierce competition in the industry make many enterprises encourage the culture of high intensity of overtime which cause staffs spend more and more time as well as energy on work.What exactly the relationship is between the personality traits,career development and workaholism? Increasingly complex social changes require companies to have a forward-looking vision.Employees as a member of the organization,to achieve career growth can ensure consistency with the nature of the development of the enterprise,personality characteristics of employees,especially the proactive personality Will it affect the career growth of employees?This study make proactive personality as independent variable ? career development as dependent variable and study its influence mechanism.Meanwhile,views work addiction as the intermediate variable between personality traits and career development and views organizational commitment as studying the moderating variables between workaholism and career growth which make this study creatively,practically and theoretically.The methodology of this study is to apply SPSS 17.0 on the relationship of difference variables such as common method deviation test?confirmatory factor analysis?descriptive statistical analysis?regression analysis and etc.Conclusions are drawn as follows:1.Proactive personality has obvious positive effect on both internal and external career development.2.workaholism plays partial mediating roles on proactive personality to the effect of internal and external career development.3.The regulating effect of organizational commitment on workaholism to career growth is none.Ultimately,on the foundation of the conclusion drawn from this study,it provides management enlightenment on how to assist staffs to achieve their career development and keep talents and points the limitation as well as the future trend of research of this study.
