With the rapid development of the modern society,how to improve and optimize the overall efficiency of production line and reduce the WIP will get more and more attention in the situation of the flowline.Production line is an important part of manufacturing enterprises and production line management is also an important part of enterprise management.In the future,manufacturing enterprises need the improvement of the production line to raise the production efficiency,guarantee the product quality,adapt to the market changes,enhance the core competitiveness,get space and power of sustainable development.At present,there are some problems in production line management of most manufacturing enterprises,and the managers are analyzing and solving these problems in various ways.As a typical manufacturing enterprise,KXL company has to face the fact of short lead time orders,high quality requirement,on the other hand,KXL must continue to control the cost to adapt to the increasingly fierce competition,so the production line management improvement is the urgent research subject for KXL.Firstly,the background and significance of the thesis are explained,and then research ideas,methods,contents and routes are discussed.In the theoretical review,this paper expounds the related theory of production line improvement,and introduces the common methods of production line improvement.Secondly,two cases of KXL will be showed to analyze the management problems of production line such as man-hour measurement,working procedure connection,working location,waste of waiting and transportation and so on.And then calculating the actual standard man hour to provide data for all improvement;balancing the work station of welding production line through the ECRS principle;improving the assembly line through motion analysis,production line layout optimization.By the above measures to improve the production efficiency and line balance rate,reduce work in process(WIP)in the workshop,reduce manufacturing cost,guarantee stable production quality.Finally,in order to ensure the improvement results,make the work flow standard,we also took some measurements such as kosu management,performance management,training,continual improvement,fixation management and so on.Research and practical application of the production line improvement theory provide a new way to improve the management level of the company's production line,which is also a great significance to improve the overall competitiveness of the company.
