Supply Chain Strategy For Domestic Mobile Phone Enterprises Under Different Overseas Market Challenges

With the upgrading of the overall strength of the domestic mobile phone companies and the slowdown in domestic market demand growth,more and more domestic mobile phone companies began to explore overseas markets.However,compared with the domestic market situation,the overseas market is very different,which make domestic mobile phone companies in the development of overseas markets encounter many challenges.This thesissummarizes three typical market challenges as follows:The first challenge is to consider the existence of similar markets like Europe and the US,whose market demand presents the strong uncertainty and requirement for supply chain forecast is also high.The second challenge is to consider the existence of similar markets like Brazil,which has tariffs or taxes on interstate commerce;The second challenge is to consider the existence of similar markets like South-East Asia,which has a difference in the influencing market factors of consumer preference and the de gree of difference is uncertain.Under the background of summarizing three overseas market challenges,this thesisestablishes three mathematical models to discuss the supply chain channel strategy and selection.For the first overseas market challenge,we establish a market model whose market demand has normal fluctuations around the average,and then we make a comparative study of the centralized decision-making and decentralized decision-making in supply chain separately.Finally we study the demand forecasting and channel decision making of domestic mobile phone enterprises in the face of normal fluctuations of market demand.For the second overseas market challenge,we establish distributed supply chain and cluster supply chain according to the cooperation mode of supply chain channel respectively.We focus on the cluster supply chain with cross chain inventory coordination and compare its performance in the market factors(the allocation of channel inventory,total channel inventory,cost saving,optimal basic inventory level,sales loss,shortage loss and so on)with distributed supply chain.At last we study the benefit and cost of overall supply chain when the channel members are based on inventory cooperation mode and no cooperative mode.For the third overseas market challenge,we make a reverse derivation to obtain the optimal channel decision of domestic mobile phone enterprises from the perspective of consumer channel selection.We first divide the customer group into three groups according to the preferences of consumers waiting time,and then we study the impact of loss of Stock-out on supply chain sales and revenue levels.Finally,the optimal channel decision under different market environment is analyzed.These research results can provide theoretical foundation and decision-making guidance for domestic mobile phone enterprises when they develop overseas market and construct supply chain channel,which ensure supply chain managers take timely and appropriate measures under complex and diverse overseas market environment to keep the entire supply chain system operate well and performance optimal in any time,and ultimately improve the competitiveness of domestic mobile phone companies overseas.
