Study On The Inbound Logistics Modes Of FAW-Volkswagen

Entering the 21 st century,with the rapid development of China’s automobile industry,China’s auto market sales continue to rise,and the major international car-makers such as German Volkswagen and the Ford Motor Inc of the United States have cooperated with Chinese car-makers to establish automobile factories and subsequently push into Chinese automobile industry.The current import brands have large market share in the domestic market,but with the support of national policy in recent years,the status of our self-owned brands have been enhanced year by year.In recent years,China’s auto market is quite competitive.China has become the factory of the world with its competition focusing on quick response to the needs of customers.In order to give a quick response to customer demand and gain a competitive advantage,how to improve the operation system and manufacture products with low cost,short cycle and high quality has become a main goal of automobile enterprises.Through years of practice,we found that promoting the automobile logistics management is of profound significance.Car-makers can improve the competitiveness of the market through the development of new technology and improvement of the service level.However,improving automobile logistics mode is the key factor of the enterprises to save resources and reduce logistics cost.Only the enterprises improve the vehicle structure can they reduce the production and transportation cost and invest more resources to improve the quality of products so as to elevate their position in automobile sales market.Automobile logistics includes such four logistics modes as the inbound logistics,internal logistics,distribution logistics and returned logistics which are closely related to each other.Taking inbound logistics process in FAW-VW as the research objective,to propose economic and reasonable solutions to enterprises’ logistics problems,this paper aims to provide a reliable basis for FAW-VW in shortening the transportation time and reducing cost.The main content of this paper includes: through the research on relevant theory of inbound logistics to analyze the status quo of inbound logistics in FAW-VW and to find out the reasons of its problems,providing solutions based on the pattern of Unity for enterprises’ reference as well as providing optimal running routes for FAW-VW to reduce costs,improve market competitiveness and providing a scientific decision-making gist for FAW-VW.
