Abstract/Summary:
With the advent of the era of knowledge economy,innovation has become the source of survival and sustainable development of enterprises.With the deep implementation of Chinese innovation-driven development strategy,the innovation capability of high-tech enterprises is the representative of Chinese scientific and technological innovation level as the main force of innovation enterprises in China,and the innovation capability is of great significance to enhance Chinese scientific and technological competitiveness and improve the overall national strength.The innovative behavior of employees is the foundation of enterprise innovation,which is the key to enhance the innovation ability of enterprises.Therefore,how to effectively promote employee’s innovative behavior has become the focus of academic and management practice.Through the analysis of domestic and foreign literature,this paper finds that many scholars have paid attention to the influence of leadership style on employee’s innovative behavior.However,whether the behavior of employees is influenced by spiritual leadership as a new type of leadership style and how does it work have not yet been studied by scholars widely.Based on this,this paper introduces the psychological sense of safety and innovative self-efficacy as mediator variables,and constructs the framework model of the effect of spiritual leadership on employee’s innovative behavior along the logical of "spiritual leadership – psychological sense of safety / innovative self-efficacy – employee’s innovative behavior".This study takes the high-tech enterprise employees as the object of study,using questionnaire survey to collect data,and gathers a total of 201 valid questionnaire data.Then,the reliability and validity of the sample data are analyzed and the descriptive statistical analysis of the basic characteristics of the samples is carried out by SPSS17.0 statistical analysis software.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between the variables.The hypothesis and theoretical model are validated by multiple regression analysis.The conclusions of this paper are as follows: Firstly,the spiritual leadership has a significant positive impact on employee’s innovative behavior.Among them,the three dimensions of vision,hope/belief and altruism love can positively promote the innovation of employees.Secondly,the psychological sense of safety and innovative self-efficacy have a significant positive impact on employee’s innovative behavior.Moreover,Psychological sense of safety plays a part of the intermediary role in the influencing of spiritual leadership on employee’s innovative behavior;Finally,the innovative self-efficacy plays a part of the intermediary role in the influencing of spiritual leadership on employee’s innovative behavior.This research mainly includes the following two innovation points: Firstly,based on the background of management practice of high-tech enterprises in China,from the two perspectives of the individual’s self-perception of organizational environment(psychological sense of safety)and the individual’s cognition of innovative self-belief(innovative self-efficacy)to explore the relationship between spiritual leadership and employees’ innovative behavior.The study found that the psychological sense of safety and innovative self-efficacy play a mediating role between the spiritual leadership and employees’ innovative behavior,and which provides a theoretical basis for business managers on how effective to promote the innovative behavior of employees.Secondly,both at home and abroad for the spiritual leadership of this new leadership style research is still in its infancy,and most of the existing research is based on foreign management background.Combined the foreign existing studies of spiritual leadership theory with China’s enterprise management practice,the research of spiritual leadership management practice in the Chinese culture under the background of the follow-up study provides the basis of applicable and empirical support.
