After reforming and opening-up,China has gained rapid social and economic development,and urbanization has made remarkable achievements.At the same time,our people live a contented life.Meanwhile,there are still some problems what we have to solve.In recent years,under the new urbanization policy,the original development model of urbanization has been gradually changed,more attention are paid to the quality of urbanization and people's livelihood construction,the socio-economic development and urban construction will experience a more comprehensive reform.Rural land requisition is a necessary means to meet the needs of urban construction.However,during the process of land acquisition,due to the deficient land requisition system and the irregular of land requisition work,the social deprivation of landless peasants happens.Based on the summing up of relevant researches,this paper defines the concept of land expropriation,landless peasants and social deprivation.And then analyzes the appearances,situations and problems of rural landless peasants and their social deprivation.After researching the social deprivation mechanism,this thesis further reveals the performances and causes of social deprivation.Landless peasants suffer from social deprivation,which includes the following four aspects,the deprivation of economic sources,the loss of political rights,social security inequality and the cutting off of local complex.The land requirements of Urbanization,the defects of rural land property right system reform,the inadequate of land requisition compensation policy and the value orientation of the governments are the main causes.A case study is also conducted in this paper,Yilong District,Guizhou Province is chosen as investigation object,this paper mainly studies the local land compensation and resettlement policy,deeply understands their living conditions and investigates their social deprivation.The conclusions are as follows,the most obvious social deprivation of the respondents are family relations,living necessities,social role recognition and living environments,while democratic participation,travel conditions,housing conditions and social services do not show obvious social deprivation.In general,the psychological areas of inhabitants suffered from the most serious deprivation.On the basis of the above analysis,the following policy recommendations are put forward.First of all,pay attention to the interest demands of landless peasants,improvecompensation standards for land acquisition and ensure rights of landless peasants to know,speak and participate.Second,complete land acquisition procedures,carry out "sunshine land" and protect the landless farmers' rights.What's more,establish a unified urban and rural employment and social security system.Finally,strengthen the psychological counseling of landless peasants and help landless farmers integrate with urban life as soon as possible.
