As one of the five traditional pillar industries,the ceramics industry in Jinjiang is the oldest traditional industry with a certain scale and efficiency since Reform and Opening Policy.But in recent years in the face of increasingly fierce market competition and the pressure of energy saving and emission reduction,the industrial advantage is no longer prominent,and eager to get rid of the plight by innovation and development in achieving a new leap in the development of industry.The development of the ceramics industry in Jinjiang presents the features of extensive high energy consumption,high pollution and low efficiency growth.In the further development process,problems of the ceramics industry are existed regarding to low value-added products,low product cost,lack of brand building,weak capability of independent innovation and serious environment pollution and so on.All these problems are not conducive to the sustainable development of the ceramics industry in Jinjiang.Facing the bottleneck of development,the industry can build the industrial carrier,adjust industrial structure,optimize the industrial environment,change from the production scale to quality benefit type,change from the quality benefit type to brand value,realize the optimization and upgrading of industry and sustainable development.In view of the above situations,the first part of this paper is the illustration of the relevant theories about industrial development,and defines the concept of industrial development,introduces the ways of industrial development.The second part is devoted to the introduction of the ceramics industry started,primary development and high-speed development,researching and analyzing industry development and the product structure diversification,production standardization,diversification of marketing present situation characteristic,the ceramic industry has some advantages in marketing,products,market,technology and other aspects.However,the ceramics industry also meets the development bottleneck of the cost rise rapidly,serious disorderly competition,lacking of independent brands,the lack of innovation capability and support weakly.As to the existing problems,the countermeasures and suggestions of industrial development are put forwarded by learning from the upgrade and transformation experience of the ceramics industry in other regions,follow the principles of industry brand,technological innovation,"two markets" and circular economy,through the extension development,the fusion development and ecological development of ceramics industry,focus on the development goal of improvement in the ceramics industry quality and efficiency to make the industry more innovative,competitive and stronger.This paper offers the development strategy of promoting technological innovation,the priority of development for industry,implementation of brand marketing innovation,talent strategy,promotion of the development of ceramic culture and circular economy,and giving some protection in terms of policy service,financial and administrative services,to further promote the ceramic industrial development.Finally,we hope that this paper can provide reference for the sustainable development and optimization of the ceramics industry in Jinjiang.
