Strategic Study On China's Infrastructure Investment In Africa's Transportation Industry

Infrastructure construction is an important prerequisite for the development of the country and the revitalization of the nation,and also an important part of the African countries to promote the collective revitalization.Especially the degree of transportation infrastructure construction is closely related to the national economic and social development.Traffic infrastructure status is an important indicator to determine the development stage of a country.As a rapidly developing continent,Africa has huge demand for transportation infrastructure.It is attracting investors from all over the world,and also has broad prospects for Chinese enterprises.Since the Beijing summit of the China non cooperation forum in 2006,Chinese enterprises have contracted nearly 400 large projects in 42 countries in ten years.Including infrastructure projects 291: transportation projects have 121,of which the total mileage of highway construction is greater than 6000 kilometers,the total mileage of the construction of the railway is about 7500 kilometers,there are 16 large port terminals,the construction of the National Airport is about 10.The cooperation in the field of transportation infrastructure between China and Africa has implemented the Sino African infrastructure cooperation plan proposed by President Xi Jin ping at the Johannesburg Summit on the Sino African Cooperation Forum in 2015,which is the ten major cooperation plan between China and Africa".With the establishment of the 2017 China overseas infrastructure development investment company in Africa and the opening of the Africa interconnection forum,it will provide new impetus for the transportation infrastructure investment in Central Africa.The backwardness in the area of transport infrastructure construction in Africa has severely constrained the development of intra-African trade and the realization of African economic regional integration.In this sense,China's investment in African transport infrastructure is conducive to making up for Africa's development in this area.The shortcomings,while promoting the improvement of transport infrastructure in Africa,accelerate the process of industrialization and urbanization in Africa and the realization of regional economic integration in Africa,and ultimately realize the vision of Africa's collective economic development.China's investment in Africa's transportation infrastructure sector can not only meet the needs of the transportation infrastructure sector in Africa,but also helpChina to promote industrial transfer and industrial upgrading,thus further accelerating the development of the Chinese economy in a good and fast direction.The African transport infrastructure sector provides a good investment platform for Chinese companies,which is conducive to the expansion of the overseas market by Chinese companies,thus further deepening China's “going out” strategy.The cooperation in the field of transportation infrastructure between China and Africa is further in line with the need for further economic development between the two sides,which can promote the deepening of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation and ultimately realize the mutual benefits and win-win situation between China and Africa.This paper focuses on the cooperation in transportation infrastructure between China and Africa,describes the present situation of transportation infrastructure in Africa and the current situation of China's transportation infrastructure investment in Africa,and puts forward the existing challenges and problems,and gives the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.First of all,based on the analysis of previous research results,this paper defines the concept of infrastructure and transportation infrastructure.Secondly,it points out that Africa's transportation infrastructure is relatively backward from four aspects: the overall situation of Africa's transport infrastructure,Interconnection,funding and regulation.Then,it points out the status of China's transportation infrastructure investment in Africa,mainly from the three aspects of investment entity,investment field and investment scope.Again,using SWOT-PEST analysis method,analysis of the Chinese strategic environment of African transport infrastructure,are analyzed and summarized from the Chinese transportation infrastructure investment in Africa,internal resources and capacity advantages and disadvantages,China transportation infrastructure investment in Africa's external opportunities and challenges,four angles.According to the above analysis,the corresponding countermeasures are put forward from four aspects: how to make use of the advantages,overcome the disadvantages,seize the opportunity and meet the challenges.Finally,the construction of transportation infrastructure will become a key area for China's investment in Africa,China's implementation of the “going out” of the entire industrial chain for transport infrastructure in Africa,and project contracting projects will achieve three-dimensional operations,and China-Africa economic and trade cooperation will further strengthen andachieve high-end Five aspects of the development of transport infrastructure projects have raised the prospects for China's investment in infrastructure for transport in Africa.
