Hunan Construction Engineering Group Corporation(hereafter “ HCEG” or “the Company”)was founded in July 1952.As a large engineering construction conglomerate affiliated to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Hunan Province,the Company has superior strength in construction and installation,road and bridge construction,prospecting and design,equipment manufacturing,engineering supervision,bidding agent,re al estate development and investment,international contracting and labor cooperation etc.,ranked top three in comprehensive construction capacity in Hunan province.In August 2016,HCEG ranked 238 th in the “China Top500 Enterprises 2016”.During the 13 th Five Year Plan,with the saturated domestic market anddeeply implemented “One Belt And One Road” initiative,it is all the more important for HCEG to speed up its internationalization by achieving breakthroughs in international market,increasing the overseas market share and profitability so as to realize the sustainable development of the Company.Therefore,it would be significant to make a study on the Company’s internationalization development strategy.This study,on the basis of the current statu s and future trend of Chinese construction enterprises and HCEG’s overseas business needs,integrates domestic strategic research theories with international research results.It analyzes the development status of international contracting,collects numero us information and data through deep investigation into the whole industry.It concludes by probing and forming an appropriate international strategy system to meet HCEG’s business needs with particular focus on the development strategy needs of internatio nal contracting enterprises by combining theory research and actual situation.This work divides its analysis and study into four steps: firstly,it analyzes strategy management theories in terms of the enterprises internationalization,both domestic and a broad,providing theoretical basis for the study;secondly,it makes a systematic analysis on macroeconomic environment,development opportunities,development characteristics and trends of this industry,describes the advantages and disadvantages in HCEG carrying through its internationalization plan from the SWOT analysis to scope out the foundations for strategizing,and presents key issues to be solved;Thirdly,it puts forward the planning and positioning of HCEG’s internationalization strategy and sets up the specific approaches and steps on the basis of above analysis;Finally,the study proposes measures to optimize internal management to ensure the effect of the implementation.The study concludes that,as one of the sub-strategy serving the overall strategies of HCEG,internationalization strategy can be realized through brand strategy,human resources upgrading strategy,and integration strategy of invest-build-operation.At last,the study also hopes to draw replicable experience to provide other similar companies for reference.
