Study On The Effect Of Agricultural Management Scale On Agricultural Eco-efficiency

China is a traditional agricultural country.Under the restriction of the limited carrying capacity of the environment,it is necessary to deal with the environmental problems in the process of agricultural land scale management.The agricultural eco-efficiency value is a comprehensive measurement of the environmental impact of economic activities.What is the impact of the scale of agricultural management on the agricultural eco-efficiency? This issue is of great significance to policy development of agricultural scale management and ecological agriculture.The concrete research work in this paper is summarized as follows:(1)Analysis on the effect of agricultural management scale on agricultural eco-efficiency.Based on the theory of farmland scale management and principal-agent theory,the scale of agricultural land management has an inverted U-type relationship to agricultural eco-efficiency.(2)Measured by the super-efficiency SBM model,and then the paper analyzed it from three different regions: the national,provincial and regions.The paper also decomposed the source of inefficiency.The results show that at the national level,the efficiency value is low.At the regional level,the agricultural eco-efficiency in the eastern region was significantly higher than which in the central and western regions.Output inefficiency mainly comes from carbon emissions,especially in the central regions,it contributed rate of 100%.(3)An empirical study on the effect of agricultural management scale on agricultural eco-efficiency.The paper tested the effect of agricultural management scale on agricultural eco-efficiency empirically by Tobit model.The conclusion is that the effect of agricultural management scale on agricultural eco-efficiency is inverted U-shaped curveat at the national level.At the regional level,the effect of agricultural land management scale on agricultural environmental efficiency in eastern China is significantly inverted,while in the central and western regions,this curve is U-shaped but it is not significant.(4)At last,paper summarized the main conclusions,and put forward some specific policy suggestions.
