Research On Risk Management Of Investment Banking In Suzhou Branch Of ICBC

With economic globalization and the rapid growth of financial mark,The phenomenon of disintermediation has appeared gradually.There have been an increasing number of investment banks that serve as the inevitable outcomes of Chinese capital market in domestic financial markets.In response to the current situation,commercial banks in China have seized the opportunity of the growth of capital market and have developed investment banking to comply with the time development.Commercial banks have set up universal banks or financial holding company to develop investment banking to the extent permitted by generally applicable regulations,laws and policies.Moreover,the reason of developing investment banking is that with the release of regulation of RMB deposit-to-loan interest rate,the process of market-oriented reforms of interest rates has been completed and as a result,the margin has been eroded.Furthermore,commercial banks implementing strict separated operation will be faced with huge changes of yield structure,and risk management and control.Firstly,the paper analyzes the characteristics of the growth of domestic and foreign investment banking through reviewing the development history of foreign investment banking and combining the current situation of domestic investment banking.Secondly,the author as an employee in the investment banking department in Industrial and Commercial Bank of China analyzes the characteristics of the risk of investment banking and the risk of mixed operation model practically.Thirdly,the situation and the development of the investment banking in Suzhou branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China is analyzed in this article.Moreover,the author hopes that the growth of investment banking in commercial banks will be improved to some extent.
