The phenomenon of industrial agglomeration is very common in the world, and it means a large number of enterprises which tend to focus on a specific area. The phenomenon of agglomeration and its derivatives has become a research hotspot of regional economics and industrial economics.New economic geography theory combines the growth of economic growth and agglomeration together, notice that industrial agglomeration has an impact on economic growth.Judging from the current situation of China's economic development, there is an obvious agglomeration of manufacturing industry, the level of economic development among various provinces and cities have also showed a huge gap. Therefore, the research on how China‘s manufacturing industry agglomeration will influence China‘s regional economic growth,is meaningful to optimize the manufacturing industry agglomeration of China, and it is also important to promote the coordinated development of regional economy.Besides, the research also means a lot to the way that how Chinese manufacturing which is based on scale economic advantage will develop, and how to constantly improve the industry independent innovation ability and labor productivity in manufacturing. It‘s also a key metric that which will gradually make China‘s manufacturing get rid of the traditional extensive mode of development. This paper used industrial concentration index to measure China‘s 28 provinces‘(excluding Shanxi,Tibet,Guizhou and Hong Kong and Macao)manufacturing poly between 2001 to 2014,and analyzed the status of those areas‘ economic growth and agglomeration of manufacturing. The results show that in recent years China‘s manufacturing industry gradually shows following tendencies.Firstly, spread from south of the eastern region to the north of the region.Secondary, from coastal areas to the inland.Thirdly,a rapid rise of manufacturing industry agglomeration degree in the central region. Finally, southwest and northeast regions benefit from the country's western development strategy and the strategy of revitalizing the northeast old industrial base, manufacturing industry agglomeration also has increased to a certain extent.Regional economic growth shows a characteristic of ?Strong East and Weak West?,the manufacturing industry agglomeration and economic growth showed similar distribution in the region.Considering the manufacturing industry agglomeration brings agglomeration economy into two opposite effects,we take industry agglomeration and square as variables, and use panel model to study how manufacturing industry agglomeration will affect regional economic growth. The empirical results show that there exists an inverted "U" relationship between the regional economic growth and manufacturing agglomeration. When manufacturing agglomeration is in the low level, agglomeration economy effect is greater than the agglomeration diseconomy effect, manufacturing agglomeration can promote regional economic growth;but when manufacturing more than a certain degree of agglomeration, agglomeration diseconomy effect will exceed the agglomeration economy effect, which can inhibit economic growth.Since various provinces and cities could not be treated as independent economies,in order to further study the manufacturing industry agglomeration on the spatial effect of regional economic growth,we try to build spatial econometric models to study the effect.Empirical results show that a provincial manufacturing agglomeration not only impact on the economic growth, but also affect the manufacturing industry in the neighboring provinces, and the impact on the economic growth of neighboring provinces and cities also showed an inverted "U" type feature.According to the regression results, this paper makes a theoretical analysis, and puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations for China's manufacturing agglomeration and economic development on the basis of the conclusion.
