Since reform and opening,China's economic has developed rapidly,forming a Chinese model of world attention.The following is the growing income gap between urban and rural residents.Therefore how to develop economic and narrow the income gap at the same time has become the key to complete the building of a well-off society.Since entering the new century,especially after Sixteenth CPC National Congress,China's urbanization path with Chinese characteristics,dense issued a series of balancing urban and rural development,"new deal" the more informative new town was proposed in order to form the pattern of development of urban-rural interaction.Therefore,the study of new characteristics of urbanization and its impact on the urban-rural income gap,not only for the assessment of effects of China's new urbanization policies provide a realistic basis,or for related departments to promote the construction of new towns to narrow the urban-rural income gap provides theory and decision making.This paper is divided into five sections.Part I systematically related research,laying the Foundation for the research;Second part,based on new town of urban and rural income gap of connotation for defined,discussion urban and rural residents income gap of formed reasons,and new town of urban and rural residents income gap of effect path,and on urban and rural residents income gap,and new town of measure method for analysis,giving paper of research provides theory support,while on urban and rural income gap of reality status for statistics description;The third part,from the demographic,economic,social,ecological and environmental aspects based on the establishment of comprehensive index system,and the entropy method of China's 31 provinces in 2002-2014 years,the development of integrated measurement and analysis;Part four,2002-2014 annual panel data of China's 31 provinces,using the Theil index measure of income gap between urban and rural areas,threshold regression analysis,empirical research on new effects of urbanization on urban-rural income gap;The article concludes with policy recommendations.This study suggests that:first,the 2009 years after the peak of the income gap between urban and rural areas in recent years has shown a slow downward trend,indicating that in the construction of new towns,the effectiveness of promoting coordinated urban and rural development measures are emerging;Second,China's new urbanization and level the obvious imbalance in regional development;Third,the economy of new town and the new town was a close positive correlation,social new urbanization and new level of urbanization differences in population urbanization and eco-environment of new towns development of new degrees and new characteristics of urbanization level of consistency-free;Finally,new urbanization can promote rural-urban income gap narrowed,but its impact is not linear,and threshold effects;There are two threshold lower urbanization development level of China's new urbanization,secondary three levels of urbanization,high urbanization,and to raise the standards of,and their impact on urban-rural income gap there are decreasing marginal effects.Innovation of this paper are the following:first,from a new urbanization promotes population urbanization rate of increase,GDP growth,based on the increase in the supply of public goods and set up a new framework of urbanization on the urban-rural income gap.Secondly,the threshold model using panel data,from the viewpoint of comprehensive,quantitative analysis of indexes of new effects of urbanization on urban-rural income gap.
