A Research Of Impact Of Trade Facilitation On China’s Manufacturing Export To Countries Along The Belt And Road

With the further acceleration of China reform and opening and the implementation of "Go Out" policy,trade has played a more and more important role in the development of economy and China’s manufacturing export trade has developed rapidly.However,The United States,European Union and other developed countries have introduced policies to rejuvenate the manufacturing sector,and seize the foreign manufacturing export market actively after the global financial crisis,China’s manufacturing industry in which the low cost advantage is gradually lost and some traditional industries overcapacity needs to explore new direction of development.The initiative of "The Belt and Road" provides a new opportunity for China’s manufacturing industry export.China could release the manufacturing export potential by strengthening policy communication and economic cooperation with the countries along"The Belt and Road".At the background of the gradual disappearance or restriction of tariff barriers in the world,studying China’s manufacturing exports based on the perspective of trade facilitation is of great significance.First,this paper has described China’s manufacturing exports status to the countries along "the Belt and Road" from the aspect of scale,structure and distribution.Next,based on the connotation of trade facilitation,this paper has set up a comprehensive evaluation system of trade facilitation on the basis of the existing research,using principal component analysis calculated the level of trade facilitation of 43 countries along "the Belt and Road" in the year of 2012,2014 and 2016.Then this paper using gravity model to empirical analysis the impact of trade facilitation of the countries along"the Belt and Road" on the export of China’s manufacturing industry,this paper also divided the counties and manufacturing products to differential trade potential types and made some prediction analysis.At last,this paper has made some suggestions for China and the countries along "the Belt and Road" to promote trade facilitation.The research results show that the level of trade facilitation along "The Belt and Road" is generally low,China is in the middle level;Trade facilitation has great impact on China’s manufacturing industry export,when the trade facilitation level improved one percent,the export of China’s manufacturing industry will improve 1.235 percent.There are great export potential in countries along "The Belt and Road" and nearly two thirds countries belong to the type of huge trade potential and developing trade potential,the export potential of capital-intensive and technology-intensive manufacturing is greater than that of labor-intensive manufacturing products in China,raising the level of trade facilitation in countries along "The Belt and Road" will help release the export potential of China’s manufacturing industries.
