Effect Of Feedback On Individual Cerativity

With the rapid development of economics and society,Innovation has become an important way to deal with the complex environment and to gain a leading position in competitive market.Organizational innovation in essence is stimulating individual creativity.At present,there is less research on the relationship between feedback and individual creativity.This study mainly explore the mechanism of the effect of feedback on individual creativity through combination of the theoretical analysis and experimental study.The research hypothesis mainly includes two parts.The first is the study of direct effect of feedback on individual creativity,the second research introduce an individual characteristics as variables—locus of control,and test its moderating effect between feedback and individual creativity.In the test of direct effect of feedback on individual creativity,the study examined between the experimental group and the control group was no difference in the initial level of creativity,then we compared positive feedback group,negative feedback group and the control group,the results shows that positive feedback has a significant positive effect on individual creativity,and negative feedback has a significant negative impact on individual creativity.During the examination of moderating effect of locus of control,this study grouped feedback ones and control ones according to their types of locus of control,and finally got six new groups.After the comparison between groups,the results shows that positive feedback has no significant effect on internal but external,negative feedback has significant effect both on internal and external,and further comparison found that the internal control were less affected than the external.And the d-valve has supported the results above.The moderating effect of the locus of control is verified.The innovation of this research is introducing the locus of control as a moderator variable between the relationship of feedback and individual creativity,enrich the research in related fields;using the method of experiment,compared with the previous studies,the advantages of the method is more controllable,and also better in explaining the causal relationship between feedback and individual creativity.
