With the rapidly increasing of car ownership,urban traffic problems have become increasingly prominent.In the face of traffic congestion,environmental pollution,energy consumption and other issues,public bicycle system has achieved rapidly promotion in major cities as a new green way of travel.In many cities,public bicycle system is considered to be the means to solve the “last mile” problems.However,the city public transport construction is constantly perfect,people have almost been able to achieve the bus station within 500 meters in central city.Therefore,public bicycle system is probably not to be used to transfer to metro or bus in the actual,especially in short-distance travel,public bicycle system is most likely to be a competitor to public transport.This paper makes a systematic analysis of the relationship between public bicycle system and public transport.First of all,the competitive and cooperative relationship between public bicycle system and public transport are defined.Then,the use of public bicycles system is divided into three modes: transfer to metro,transfer to bus,and independent use.Besides,the Cross-nested Logit model is employed to analyze the use of these three models and how the travel characteristics and personal attributes affect the choice of modes.Afterwards,the complex network is used to analyze the correlation between the conventional public transport network and the public bicycle competition network and the cooperative network.Finally,from the perspective of passenger flow,the characteristics of public bicycle passenger flow distribution are analyzed based on different types of sites and whether there are direct bus lines.Moreover,the impact of public transport layout on passenger flow is studied with the multiple regression model.This study suggests that public bicycle system has a large inclination to compete with bus,besides the cooperative relationship.Expanding the positioning of the public bicycle system,it provides a valuable reference for demand forecasting and planning of public bicycle system in the future.
