As public bicycle being a new way to travel, many problems are need to be solved urgently in its construction and operation. At present, the research about public bicycle system is rarely to see. Previous literatures mostly focus on the evaluation of running effect about the system. Sole articles about rental location are based on the complete rationality. But in reality, many facts show that people’s behaviors are deviated from the complete rationality.In 1957, Simon first proposed the concept of bounded rationality. In 1979, Kahnenman and T versky proposed prospect theory by a series of psychological experiments to describe bounded rationality. In prospect theory, decision makers have different risk attitudes facing loss and gain. So it can be better to describe people’s risk decision-making behaviors. As travel is a risk decision, it is reasonable and important to use prospect theory in decision process. On the basis of these, the paper first researches travelers’ mode and path choice problems using prospect theory. Then it establishes two Logit models in bounded rationality. Therefore, two models are set up for the location and size of rental stations. At last,The solution and analysis of a simple example are given. This paper contains four chapters.In chapter 1, we first introduce the research background of the paper. Then we introduce the application and research status of the public bicycle system. And we also explain the construction and innovation points of the paper. This chapter contains four parts: the first part introduces the background of paper; the second part introduces the public bicycle system comprehensively and systematically; the third part introduces the situation of public bike system home and abroad; the fourth part introduces the research status home and abroad.In chapter 2, we introduce the basic knowledge of prospect theory systematically. This chapter contains two parts: the first part mainly introduces the contents of value function and decision weights function; the second part introduces the cumulative prospect utility theory.In chapter 3, we give a case of the travel tools choice and a Logit model based on the prospect utility theory. It is the innovative part of the author. Because the establishment of subsequent model is based on this chapter, this chapter also reflect the the application of prospect theory in subsequent model. This chapter is divided into two parts: the first part gives a case of travel tools choice and its solution on the basis of prospect theory; the second part gives a Logit model of travel mode choice using prospect theory based on the case.In chapter 4, we establish the location models of rental point in bounded rationality.This chapter is the key chapter of the paper. In this paper, we establish the selection Logit model of alternative rental points using prospect theory according to Logit model in chapter3. These two Logit model are the innovative application of prospect theory in the paper.They also reflect the innovation of two rental location models. This chapter is divided into five parts: introduction in first part and the knowledge in second part mainly introduce the basic knowledge of the model; the third part establishes rental location model without cost constraint in bounded rationality; the fourth part establish rental location model with cost constraint in bounded rationality; the fifth part gives two solutions of a simple example using two models.
