The State Council issued a number of opinions on promoting the reform and development of the tourism industry in 2014.It is proposed that the added value of tourism in 2020 accounted for the proportion of GDP more than 5%.Tourism is about to become a pillar industry of the national economy, and is the inevitable choice of the economic new normal consumption and upgrading of the province's people and the industrial structure adjustment.Agglomeration can not only in favor of agglomeration effect of economic growth, but also hinder the congestion effect of regional economic development. The interaction of these two effects will reach different equilibrium state at different stages of development. The Williamson hypothesis also pointed out that the production activities of the space agglomeration in the early economic development will significantly improve economic efficiency, but when the economic development reached a critical level, the promotion effect will disappear or even negative impact.Based on the Williamson hypothesis, this paper constructs the influence mechanism of tourism industry agglomeration and regional economic efficiency. The introduction of spatial factors in the study, the tourism industry agglomeration variables into the spatial lag, using spatial econometric methods,a spatial error model and a spatial lag model, the relationship between regional economic efficiency and empirical test of tourism industry cluster.Through the research and analysis in this paper,I get the following conclusion:(1)During the period of 2005-2014,the tourism industry agglomeration degree of 30 provinces in China has changed obviously with the space and time.(2)The strength of China's regional economic efficiency is not only affected by the neighboring areas, but also the spatial dependence has been strengthened. In addition, there is a correlation between the spatial distribution of tourism industry agglomeration and regional economic efficiency.(3)During the 2005-2014,tourism industry agglomeration effects on regional economic efficiency are obvious agglomeration effect, does not appear congestion effect. For the development of the current state of the tourism industry, the Williamson hypothesis is the first part of the definition of "N" type first increased andthen decreased.(4)The spatial lag of tourism industry agglomeration, the environmental resources, the transportation resources, the material resources and the per capita disposable income have significant positive effects on the regional economic efficiency.
