Research On Lean Production Of Wheelset Workshop Of CRCC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co.,Ltd

Lean production,an advanced production management method,leads the development direction of the present manufacturing industry.Considered as the third milestone in the history of industrialization,it is called "the standard production methods of 21st century manufacturing industry".In recent years,the Chinese government has been increasing the infrastructure investment,which has brought great development opportunities for industries concerning railway infrastructure and eco-friendly rail transportation equipment manufacture.For example,the production of bogie wheels in CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co.was 4663 pairs in 2009 and the number had grown to 9930 pairs in 2013,doubled in five years.The annual work-in-process projects also grew from over 10 to more than 30.With limited resources,the wheelset workshop of Bogie division faced many challenges such as products with multi-varieties and small batch and time shortage.Therefore,it is necessary for the rapidly developing enterprise to adopt lean production to improve its product quality and relieve the cost and delivery pressure so that it can perfectly complete every project.Based on the idea of lean production,this article analyzes the existing problems in production organization,work rhythm,product quality,on-site management and etc of Bogie division of CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co.,and makes an improvement design for process flow,production line balance,layout optimization,JIT and etc by comprehensive use of lean production tools,which basically realizes the goal of workshop improvement.Meanwhile,through analyzing the datas between having finished rectification and before,a fact is confirmed that the quality of workshop has been improved greatly,the capacity also has been increased.The safety of workers has been got more guarantee.Through metronomic production,the product of workshop always flows well,and Avoiding stock pile that impacts the beauty of production site and quality control.Finally,through the pull production,circulation of product and timely distribution of external parts have been improved,production cost has been reduced,and competity of enterprise has been strengthened.The research of this article not only helps to promote lean production in CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co,but also starts a new way for manufacturing enterprises to adopt lean production.
