Research On The Improvement Of The Inventory Management Of W Group Company Limited

Nowadays,people's pursuit of health continues to improve,the prospect of medical equipment industry is wide,but compared with many foreign brands,the competitiveness is still weak.We not only need innovation,but also the scientific management,it puts forward higher requirements for inventory management.Many medical equipment companies,including W,are aware of the importance of inventory management,but compared with other industries,the inventory management of medical equipment industry has more difficulties.In order to meet customers' needs,relevant cost is staying at a high level.Nevertheless,the stock isn't always enough,the customer satisfaction is damaged.So the research makes sense.According to the theory of demand forecasting and inventory classification,this paper,in view of the W company's inventory management present situation,discovered a series of problems as follows:low prediction accuracy,inventory pollution and damage,too many orders canceled by distributors,delayed supplier delivery,low inventory turnover ratio,and unreasonable inventory structure;and based on the correlation theory and on-the-spot investigation,analyzed the reasons of the W company ' s inventory management problems mentioned above,including unreasonable sales forecast,non-standard warehouse and transportation environment,inappropriate deal with the "two-vote system",inefficient material classification and poor coordination with supply chain enterprises etc.On the basis of this,this paper puts forward multiple measures,including,improving demand forecasting,warehouse and logistic management,scientifically dealing with the "two-vote system",using multi-factors ABC classification method,according to the improved classification using corresponding purchasing strategy,choosing dealers and suppliers and coordinating with them.These measures are efficient to resolve the problems existing in W company inventory management,but also have reference significance for the enterprise inventory management in related industries.
