The Study On The Port-city Association Model And Influencing Factors Between Port And City In The Yangtze Economic Zone

The Yangtze River Economic Belt is one of the three main zones of China's economic development.The development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt has the historical responsibility obligatory to the rise of central China and even the revival of the Chinese economy,which include the development of the port city in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.In the context of the implementation of the Yangtze River Economic Belt Development and Opening Strategy and the construction of the golden waterway in China,the Yangtze Economic Zone,which is within "the Belt and Road Initiative",is granted with unprecedented opportunities for development.How to integrate resources and strengthen economic cooperation among port cities and promote the development of the Yangtze Economic Zone are major issues both the government and the academia are confronted with.First of all,the paper uses the relevant theory of port and city association to analyze the connotation and manifestation of the development of Harbor-city correlation patterns,and summarize the phased characteristics of the development of Harbor city correlation patterns.Secondly,it analyzes the port-city association model of 17 port cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 1999 to 2013.The dynamic concentration index(DCI)model is used to analyze the relative speed of the port-city association development,and the port-city association degree model is used to analyze the evolutionary direction of port-city association development.The results show that:The port-city association degree of port-driven port cities(Jiaxing,Huangshi,Jingzhou,Anqing,Yichang,Yueyang and Chongqing)show the development trend of M-type;The port-city association degree of urban-driven port cities(Nanjing)show the development trend of Inverted S type;The port-city association degree of Port-city coordination port cities(Luzhou,Suzhou,Maanshan,Wuxi,Jiujiang,Wuhan,Ningbo,Wuhu and Shanghai)show the development trend of Inverted U type.Then,it studies the influencing factors of the port-city association model.The impulse response function is used to analyze the influencing factors of different port-city association models based on the VAR model.The results show that logistics condition is the main reasons that affect the development of port city.Finally,according to the problems in the development of the port city of The Yangtze Economic Zone,the paper puts forward the policy suggestions to optimize the coordinated development of The Yangtze Economic Zone.
