Research On Social Responsibility Of Scientists

Based on Einstein as an example,from the definition of scientists and the definition of the scientists' social responsibility.From the factors of social autonomy,defend academic freedom by scientists advocate science,to regain the public trust,clarify the form of scientists assume social responsibility.From the factors of scientists themselves,religious factors,legal factors,cultural factors,political factors and economic factors,the factors that influence the social responsibility of scientists are discussed.Finally,the paper puts forward the construction mechanism of scientists' social responsibility,combining social roles,socialization,social control,social organization and other sociological theories and the academic thoughts of Sutton and other scholars.First,in the theory part summarize the sociology of science scholars both at home and abroad about the social responsibility of scientists has carried on the induction summary related research results,the results of this paper studies the theoretical basis and ideological source.It is only after the concept of social role that foreign scientific sociology scholars gradually attach importance to scientific social responsibility research.The barber,merton,Bernard's research is more significant,respectively from the attitude toward scientific consequences,scientific spirit of behavior constraints,and the social impact of scientific results of several angles to analyze the social responsibility of scientists.Domestic scholars,such as li xingmin and other representatives,have made a comprehensive statement on the social responsibility of scientists.Although foreign scholars for scientists social responsibility early this topic research,but the study of Einstein's social responsibility more embodied in the biographical works,domestic scholars from Einstein's letters,and put forward an argument in the action,reveals the connotation of Einstein,although the focus is different,but all of them show the influence of social responsibility,the role of scientists in the scientific community that urged scientists to research and development are beneficial to social product,scientists as knowledge disseminator to appeal for peace,against war.From a religious point of view,religion can draw science into the direction of the benefit of mankind,like an "armorer".From the legal aspect,the perfect integration of law and morality makes scientists raise the consciousness of social responsibility from inside out.From the point of cultural factors,science itself is a kind of culture,to be able to deliver the benefit of human cultural viewpoint,science and the cultural value is what scientists have moral accomplishment,is also an expression of the scientists to abide by the norms of scientific community;On the political factors,the socialist system pays more attention to the value of science to meet the needs of the society than capitalism,and the science can achieve the goal of benefiting mankind.From the point of economic factors,scientists need to keep science under the premise of conscience,resist the temptation of market economy at the same time,can't abandon their social responsibilities,to eliminate false science corruption,fraud and to prevent the bad influence of scientific achievements.Fifth,on the basis of the above research results,combine the social role,socialization,social control,social organizations,such as sociology theory and Sutton scholar's academic ideas,construct the mechanism of social responsibility of scientists.These mechanisms not only show us the direction of cultivating scientists'social responsibility,but also provide a realistic path for the interaction between science and humanity.Sutton science and humanistic culture concept,scientists and international organizations to actively participate in political life,and the moral law to scientists of internal and external constraints,for the contemporary science and technology workers provided direction to cultivate social responsibility.
