Research On Entrepreneurial Background Characteristics,Innovation Input And Performance Of Technology Start-ups

Under the background of economic globalization,innovation has become the focus of competition in various countries.It can not only help the country resist the economic risks,but also help promote the country's economic development.Technology start-ups as a body of independent innovation,its growth and development are the issues of common concern to the community.Enterprise performance is an important indicator which reflects the development of the enterprise,thus improving enterprise performance is an important task of technology start-ups.Entrepreneurial background characteristics and innovation input are important factors affecting the performance of technology start-ups.As an important part of corporate governance mechanism,different ownership structure can bring different decision-making behavior and consequences.Therefore,it is significant to study the influence of entrepreneurial background characteristics,innovation input and ownership structure to the performance of technology start-ups for promoting the development of technology start-ups has important guiding significance.Firstly,by reviewing the literature,the paper discriminates the terms including entrepreneurial background characteristics,innovation input,ownership structure,technology start-ups,and enterprise performance.At the same time,we classify the entrepreneurial background characteristics and innovation input.Secondly,the paper explores the internal relations among background characteristics of entrepreneurs,innovation input,ownership structure and technology start-ups performance.After that,we establish a research model.Then,by collecting data of listed companies,the research hypothesis is verified through multiple regression.The empirical results show that the background characteristics of entrepreneurs such as degree,major and functional background all have direct significant positive effect on the technology start-ups performance and innovation input.Age has a direct significant negative effect on the technology start-ups performance and innovation input.What's more,the innovation input has a direct significant positive effect on the technology start-ups performance.Innovation input plays a partial intermediary role between entrepreneurial background characteristics and technology start-ups performance.Ownership structure has a significant moderating effect on the relationship between entrepreneurial background characteristics and innovation input.Specifically,ownership structure positively regulates the relationship between entrepreneurial age and innovation input,and negatively regulates the relationship between the functional background and innovation input.The interaction between the ownership structure and the functional background influences the innovation input and then has effect on the technology start-ups performance.Finally,based on empirical results,we propose some corresponding countermeasures to improve the technology start-ups performance.
