With the accelerating process of economic globalization, the international division of labor form also changed dramatically, the traditional industry division,inter-industry division of labor and intra-industry division of labor gradually replaced by intra-product division of labor,so as to promote the rapid development of global value chain division of labor form.In global value chain division of labor system, analysis of competitive advantage is no longer a country's participation in international division of labor based on the final product or an industry perspective, but from a division of global value chain link to analyze whether a country or region has a competitive advantage,so more and more countries want to participate in the the division of global value chain system dominated by multinational companies. As an important foundation of economic development, manufacturing industry has an important influence on economic development.Especially for developing countries, the development of manufacturing industry will directly affect the economic development speed and quality. As the world's largest developing country, after nearly forty years from reform and opening up policy, through the using of FDI,Manufacturing processing,R&D learning and other ways,China has constantly embedded into global value chain division of labor system, and gradually move up to the value chain of high-end position. However, over time, the conditions of factor endowments in China and other countries are changing. The research of impact of factor endowment, global value chain embedding degree on manufacturing international competitiveness and the relationship between the three factors can reflect the impact of the global value chain division of labor on China's manufacturing industry to enhance international competitiveness under the new factor endowments, provide active and effective policy recommendations to enhance the international competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry. This paper mainly elaborates the research status of global value chain theory, factor endowment theory and manufacturing international competitiveness theory.By summarizing and analyzing the previous research results, this paper further studies the factor endowments, the embedding degree of global value chain and The international competitiveness of the industry between the three. On this basis, this paper analyzes the relationship between the factors of manufacturing factor endowment, the embedding degree of global value chain and the international competitiveness of industries in 56 countries from 2000 to 2011 for 12 consecutive years.Using the revealed comparative advantage index based on the added value of trade and the global value chain participation index constructed by Koopman et al.(2010),we measured and analyzed the embeddedness and international competitiveness of the global value chain of manufacturing in China, and compared the horizontal and vertical comparison.Analyzes the embeddedness of the global value chain and the international competitiveness of the developing and the developed countries in the world, including China, constructs the index of factor endowment, the index of embeddedness of the global value chain and the index of international competitiveness of manufacturing industry, and uses the econometric model to research and analysis of the relationship between factor endowment, global value chain embedding degree and industrial international competitiveness. The results show that the global value chain participation index of China and the index of manufacturing competitiveness have a similar upward trend in the statistical year. The manufacturing industry in China not only has its degree of embedding in the global value chain division system continuously increasing, but also has obtained its international competitiveness. From the perspective of all sample countries, there is a positive correlation between global value chain participation, factor endowments, innovation capacity, infrastructure construction and industrial development scale and manufacturing competitiveness, while the level of economic development is negatively correlated; After dividing the sample countries into developing countries and developed countries,we can find that the global value chain embedding degree, innovation capability, infrastructure construction level and scale of industrial development are equally important for developing countries and developed countries to enhance the international competitiveness of manufacturing industries Is a positive one,but the factor endowments have a negative impact on enhancing the international competitiveness of the manufacturing industry. Therefore,in order to enhance the international competitiveness of manufacturing industry,China should continue to actively promote the active participation of manufacturing industry in the division of labor in the global value chain, increase the participation in the division of labor in the global value chain, improve the innovation capability of manufacturing industry, improve the level of infrastructure construction and expand the development of manufacturing industry Scale, and give full play to the advantages of factor endowments,we must optimize the factor endowment structure.
