Research On The Influence Of Export On The Independent Innovation

Since the reform and opening up,with the development of China's economy,China's independent innovation ability has been continuously enhanced.According to the world intellectual property organization,China became the country with the largest number of patent applications in the world in 2013.In October 2017,the 19th National Congress of Communist Party of China(CPC)made it clear to "speed up the construction of an innovative country" and "enhance the openness and cooperation in innovation capacity" in the report.This shows that export trade is an important factor on innovation ability.Based on this,this thesis does a research on the impact of export on the independent innovation.First of all,this paper adopts the method of combining qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis to analyzes the present situation of export trade and innovation ability in our country.The thesis uses the qualitative analysis to reflect on the development characteristic of China's export trade and the development of innovation ability,while uses the quantitative analysis to reflect on the collection of related data,descriptive statistics analysis and Pearson correlation analysis.Secondly,this paper uses the data from 2005 to 2007 in the database of Chinese industrial enterprises,and the Probit model is used for empirical analysis.A stepwise regression method is adopted to improve the robustness of the empirical results and conclude that the export has a significant effect on innovation.Furthermore,to study the regional heterogeneity of export enterprises,ownership type heterogeneity and the heterogeneity of industry's influence on the innovation ability,this article adopts the subsample method.The paper divided the data according to region,ownership type,industry to do empirical regression.The results show that the export has the greatest impact on the innovation and promotion of enterprises in the western region,followed by the enterprises in the eastern region and finally the enterprises in the central region.Compared with the foreign-funded enterprises,the export has a greater impact on the innovation of domestic enterprises.The export promotes the enterprise innovation of medium and high technology and high-tech industry,and the higher the technology level of the enterprise,the greater the promotion of export to enterprise innovation.What's more,this paper uses the instrumental variable probit method and the two-step method to inspect the endogenous problem of the model.According to the results,the core explanatory variable is exogenous.That means there is no problem of endogenous and the thesis's empirical conclusion is reliable.In addition,this article also use propensity score matching method to restudy the effect of export on the innovation ability,the conclusion is consistent with the above.At the same time,the method found that the longer the export time,the higher the probability of independent innovation.Finally,based on the present situation analysis and empirical conclusion,this paper puts forward policy suggestions to improve the independent innovation ability of Chinese enterprises.
