The human society is experiencing a new round of information revolution with the booming wave of informationization aiming at making full use of information and data resources.Only the person who is on top of the information technology can have the advantage of competitiveness. The relationship between information technology and competitiveness is relatively close. On the one hand, the progress of information technology makes it possible for people to reduce the cost of getting product information or using products, which helps to improve the competitiveness of the whole industry. In addition, enterprises can be more competitive with information technology reducing production costs and improving management efficiency. On the other hand, the enhancement of competitiveness will bring about competitive advantage and attract more talents in the field of information, promote the development of relevant technology and gather more social capitals. The information industry is also expected to take this opportunity to accelerate, which in turn will speed up the development of informationization with mutual influence and mutual promotion.this paper quantitatively analyzes the interaction between China’s regional informationization and competitiveness development, and provides theoretical basis for improving the informatization and competitiveness of our country.Firstly, this paper constructs the evaluation index system for regional informationization and competitiveness, standardizes the index data by using the method of extreme difference transformation, weights the indexes at all levels by using the coefficient of variation, and calculates the informationization level index and competitiveness index in 31 regions of China between 2009 and 2016 through simple weighted summation. On this basis,Pearson correlation analysis of informationalization and competitiveness index is used to get the correlation coefficient between the two.Using econometrics simultaneous equation based on the panel data of the method, the paper quantitatively analyzes of the interaction between the two.Applying the physics coupling analysis and elastic coefficient method in the economics, the paper analyzes the interaction of informatization and competitiveness from two aspects:provincial indexes and sub-indexes,which provides a reference for relevant departments to formulate specific policy.Through the above research,we found that the index of regional informatization level and regional competitiveness level were increasing year by year in eight years. There is a significant positive correlation between informatization and competitiveness which have good correlation between them. The accelerating role informationization plays on competitiveness is much greater than that competitiveness plays on informationization.Coupling coordination analysis shows that most areas’coupling coordination degree is low during 2016.It can only achieve force coupling coordination level.Only a few developed provinces have better coupling coordination degree in the intermediate or good level,so local governments need to put equal emphasis on informatization and competitiveness, which promotes coordinated development of informationization and competitiveness.By using the geometric mean method, the elastic coefficient of the index of the informatization is calculated, and its influence on the competitiveness is analyzed. Finally, based on the research about the relationship between informationization and competitiveness, this paper put forward some policy recommendations about improving China’s regional informatization level and competitiveness through perfecting infrastructure, improving the application and impact of information technology, advancing education and balancing information construction.
