The Research On Driving Factors And Control Strategies Of Carbon Emissions In China

In recent years,the greenhouse effect causes increasingly serious global environmental problems.The main component of greenhouse gases is the carbon dioxide.According to the IPCC 's report,the reason for global warming is at least ninety percent of the probability caused by human activities.So far,the cumulative carbon emission of China has been the first of world.According to the latest international climate and environmental research report,China emits more than 60 billion tons of carbon dioxide into the environment in each year.More data show that China's coal combustion in 2017 has caused global carbon emissions to soar by 2%.With the rapid economic development,China's carbon emissions have also been in the ranks of high carbon emissions.Although China has formulated relevant policies for energy conservation and emission reduction in recent years,the economic growth pattern of high energy consumption and high carbon emissions is still a pressing problem at this stage.Facing the problems of carbon emissions,this paper summarizes the characteristics of carbon emission in China by analyzing economy,energy consumption and carbon emission.To identify and measure the factors of carbon emissions we using the Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index method and the Stochastic Impacts by Regression on Population,Affluence,and Technology.To analyze the economy and Industry changes under the condition of carbon tax policy we using the Computable General Equilibrium model.The result shows that China is in the period of industrial transformation,and the total amount of carbon emissions also shows the same growth trend as energy consumption.The economic,population and energy consumption structure drives carbon emission in China.the industrial structure and the industrial energy consumption bring down carbon emission.About the carbon control strategy,the implementation of carbon tax will inhibit the positive driving factor which is the economic in China.Moreover,the suppression of energy intensive industry output will promote negative driving factor which is the enhance industrial structure and the industrial energy consumption intensity.It can achieve a virtuous cycle of energy-saving and emission-reduction.Therefore,we need to set up a carbon tax incentive mechanism.we need to inhibit excessive carbon emissions in high-energy consumption industry and promote the development of environmental protection industry.To achieve rational utilization of resources and industrial balance development in China.
