Social economic value contrasts with commonly existing high fatality rate and low growth of new ventures,how to improve the performance of new ventures has attracted a lot of researchers.In the early stages of business,the new ventures have to confront with high-risk,difficult and uncertain environmentKnowledge and resources from the entrepreneurial alone can not meet the requirements of innovation.Sufficient exploration and utilization of resources derived from the organization outside is a key to improve innovation performance.Therefore,to study the impact mechanisms of external social networks on the innovation performance of new venture is of great significance to improve the entrepreneurial team performance.However,the previous scholars have mostly analyzed the direct effect of social network on innovative performance,but ignored the role of organizational behavior.In addition,for the new ventures,the knowledge acquisition has greatly influenced the acquisition of external resources.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the role of new venture social network on innovative performance in the theory and practice.Based on the literature review of the new enterprise and social network theory,the social network is divided into 3 dimensions:network scale,network heterogeneity and network intensity.The article chose the new ventures within 8 years as the investigation object,and the knowledge acquisition is selected as the mediating variable_to study the mediating effect of knowledge acquisition and the mechanism of social network's action on innovation performance.First of all,the study constructs a theoretical model on the basis of a large number of literature according to the study status,including social network,knowledge acquisition and innovation performance,then put forward four sets of assumptions.Secondly,on the basis of theory research we selects the mature scale to the measurement of each variable and 202 new start-ups of Anhui province as the research object to conduct the questionnaire survey.The survey is conducted for 2 months with a total of 400 questionnaires,and there are 202 valid questionnaires.According to the data,we use SPSS to analyze the data.The result shows that:(1)The social network of start-up enterprises plays a significant positive role in innovation performance,among which network strength and network heterogeneity have positive effects on knowledge acquisition and promoting innovation performance.(2)The new venture social network plays a significant positive role in knowledge acquisition.(3)The knowledge acquisition plays a mediating role in the relationship between social network and innovation performance.Among them,the knowledge acquisition plays a part of mediating role between the strength and heterogeneity of network and innovation performance,however,it does not play a role of mediation between network size and innovation performance.On the basis of the conclusions and the actual situation,the study put forward some suggestions on how to improve the innovation performance of new ventures,mainly including:(1)The government should provide funds and information exchange platform for new ventures.(2)The enteprises should give full play to the role of social network combined with the development of the actual condition.(3)Taking into account the advantages and disadvantages of social network,effectively avoiding the negative impact of social network.(4)Pay attention to the improvement of knowledge acquisition ability and combine it with social network.FinalIy,the study raises some limitations and future research direction.
