| As one of the most representative regional trade negotiation organizations,TTIP is an important platform for the United States and the European Union to further promote trade development between the two sides. To raise the level of trade facilitation and create more economic growth points for both parties,TTIP not only negotiates the traditional trade issues such as tariff reduction and non-tariff trade barriers, but also exchanges ideas on emerging factors that have an impact on international trade, such as intellectual property protection and market access to financial services. As the important trade partner of The United States and the European Union,China has been in a surplus in trade for a long time. Therefore, trade facilitation measures within TTIP will have a certain impact on China’s exports to the United States and the European Union. At present, domestic and foreign researches on TTIP is still not sufficient. For example, foreign researches on TTIP still focus on the analysis of the impact on the countries among the EU;while domestic research is more focused on analyzing the content of TTIP in order to summarize its impact on China.Comparing with foreign research, domestic research should try to use the relevant knowledge of economics to conduct empirical researches on the economic impact of TTIP’s trade facilitation, which still remains to be expanded.Under these circumstances, the article selects 27 countries of TTIP as the research object and uses the index system constructed by domestic and foreign scholars to construct gravitational models to evaluate the impact of trade facilitation of TTIP member countries on China’s export trade. In order to achieve this goal, the article sets up the following main contents: Firstly, the article elaborates on the connotation of trade facilitation.Secondly,on the basis of summarizing the history of trade development between China and TTIP countries, the article clarifies trade promotion measures among the TTIP countries and summed up the related issues;Next, based on the data collected from the 2011-2016 Global Competitiveness Report and the Corruption Index, the passage refers to the trade facilitation calculation system constructed by Wilson(2003)and builds the trade facilitation calculation system for the research, which includes the first-level indicators as efficiency, customs environment, institutional environment,e-commerce and finance, and the corresponding 16 secondary indicators.Based on the trade facilitation calculation system, the passage calculates the trade facilitation levels of 27 TTIP countries, which is used to make comparison between China and TTIP countries by ranking. Moreover, the article uses the variables as GDP,population, distance and trade facilitation of the 27 countries to construct the gravity model of export trade to evaluate the impact of trade facilitation of TTIP countries on China’s exports. Finally, based on the research results and the development trend of international trade rules, the article summarizes the deficiencies in the promotion of trade facilitation development in China and proposes suggestions for China’s trade facilitation construction. The research results in this paper show that there is a huge gap in the level of trade facilitation between China and TTIP developed countries.Meanwhile,as the same with the TTIP developing countries,China is at a level of general convenience.Furthermore, based on the gravitation model, the empirical studies have also confirmed that the level of trade facilitation of TTIP countries is positively related to China’s exports.Specifically, through the analysis of the four first-level indicators, the passage finds that port efficiency has the most significant impact on China’s exports.Based on the above conclusions, the article suggests that China should continue to promote the establishment of free trade zones and strengthen trade cooperation with TTIP countries in order to win the right to formulate new international trade rules and create a more convenient environment for China’s import and export trade. |
