With the economy repaid development in China,China has transformed from the world factory to sophisticated market step by step.As the national pillar industry,most pressure vessels are nonstandard products because of the industry limitation.With the development and progress,the pace of development is becoming faster and faster.The quality requirements are higher and higher.The safety management has been paid more and more attention.All above reason require higher requirements in manufacturing process control and quality of non-standard pressure vessel industry.So,a model that can effectively control the products quality has most important and practical significance.The main problems during non-standard pressure vessel manufacturing at K company is that all products have the process in design,procurement and manufacture,but the whole process will inevitably have careless mistakes because of some subjective reasons and then will be reflected in product quality.The problems include several aspects.Firstly,the technical analysis preparation is inadequate and the manufacture procedure is imperfect in the beginning.Secondly,workers do not understand drawing requirements and manufacturing methods completely,incorrect operation is caused by error operation.Thirdly,the manufacturing procedure has not been accurately executed and tracked.Fourthly,the procedure itself has problem,and problem causes the disqualification,needs to repair or even scrapped,but it has not been found and rectified in time during manufacturing.The international and domestic competition becomes more and more intensity,it is particularly important for company survival and development:to achieve customer satisfaction,to ensure product quality and to reduce cost constantly.Based on above problems,the non-standard pressure vessel customization at K company is chosen as an object.Research for use 6 sigma(DMAIC)management to analysis and control the non-standard product parts manufacturing process under the circumstances that meet customer delivery time and the internal cost control.And the solution and tracking scheme for the reference problems based on the use of some commonly used in 6 sigma management tool to analysis of the problems causes is proposed to meet the product quality requirements within reasonable range of company requirements.At last,the evaluation and summary of implementation effect for 6 sigma are given.The effectiveness of the method is shown and the insufficiency during process to improve is also pointed out.At the same time,we hope the research can provide some experience and inspiration for the implementation of 6 sigma management in non-standard products manufacturing for company.
