As a big country of rare earth industry,rare earth resources have risen to the position of strategic resources,and the largest part of rare earth material industry is NdFeB permanent magnetic materials,which are widely used in military,aerospace and electronic devices.The use of advanced quality management methods is an important means to improve the product quality of enterprises.For rare earth enterprises,high-quality products can increase their market competitive advantage.The LSS(Lean Six Sigma)project is also applied in the field of magnetic materials.Ningbo Yunsheng Co.,Ltd.has improved the low remanence phenomenon of its magnetic steel sheet and achieved remarkable improvement results.Based on the internal and external significance of the combination of improving the core competitiveness of enterprises and the efficient use of rare earth resources,this paper introduces the concept of Lean Six Sigma quality management,combining the development status and application of LSS management at home and abroad.Based on the analysis of the actual situation of company B,three problems of the product quality of the studied company are pointed out:(1)the product quality is poor,the product qualification rate of the studied company in 2018 is only 73%,far lower than 95% of the design plan;(2)the capacity utilization is insufficient,which is less than half compared with the national average capacity utilization rate of 76.5%,which is an important reason for the lack of profitability.(3)The poor quality management system is the main cause of product quality problems.In view of the above three problems,the following solutions are proposed and implemented:(1)combining with six sigma DMAIC process,fish-bone diagram,correlation analysis,process capability analysis and other methods,the key factors affecting product quality are found,and improved and controlled;(2)introducing lean production idea,thewhole process is preliminarily planned and arranged to prepare for the release of production capacity;(3)combining with company B According to its own characteristics and conditions,the preparation process was added before the implementation of the project,new personnel division and personnel adjustment were carried out,the project concept was implemented,and the awareness of system construction was strengthened.After the implementation,through the process optimization,process control optimization,strengthen the quality system construction of the research company.After the implementation of the LSS project,the qualification rate of products in 2019 improve greatly,the defect rate of key factors affecting product quality reduced,and the production capacity also released,the total output significantly increased,and the project has achieved certain results.Through the analysis and implementation of the LSS project of the Nd-Fe-B production line of company B,a feasible quality improvement plan is provided for the production line of small and medium-sized companys.
