| Along with the increasing natural gas external dependency in our country,the unreasonable natural gas pricing mechanism and the problem of shortage of pricing power in international trade began to highlight,it is high needed to establish international natural gas trading hubs in China.Although Shanghai has taken the first step,but only one hub in the vast territory of China doesn't appear to be enough,we need to establish multiple trading hubs at the same time to form different benchmark prices aiming at a more conducive natural gas price discovery,and then realize marketization.North American and European natural gas market development is relatively mature,in addition to the famous American Henry Hub and British NBP,there are many large and small gas trading hubs,they can provide reference for China's natural gas market development.This paper studied the north American and European market type,development and characteristics of natural gas trading hub,sums up the trading hub of the conditions are: plenty of market supply and demand,improved the infrastructure,a good policy environment and developed financial market;secondly this paper studies the natural gas market in China from two aspects of supply and demand and price,we think as the future China's dependence on imported gas increases,the existing unreasonable natural gas pricing mechanism and lack of pricing power in international trade put forward the urgent need to establish natural gas hubs;finally this paper uses the characteristics of gas trade hub for reference,selected several domestic areas with relevant conditions,using the principal component analysis to compare their competitiveness,concluded that Sichuan,Shandong and Jiangsu are the most competitive to establish gas trading hubs. |
